Knutsford Royal May Day

Royal May Day in Knutsford is an annual event which dates back to 1864. Now celebrating its 154 year. The parade will take place at 2.00pm and consists of children in historical costumes and of course the May Queen and her Court Attendants. The parade is followed by the Coronation of the May Queen on the Heath, with maypole dancing and various displays next to the Fair.

Held on the Big Heath events include Welly Wanging, Prettiest Pooch, Its a 'Dog Knockout,' Childrens Activity Area including Face Painting with Stalls and Refreshments.

There will be even more new ideas and innovation at this much-loved show in 2018, from a new Green Fields Family Area, which is a mini festival-themed family space, to a new Botanical Design Shopping experience.

And of course, you'll still get to see the wonderful gardens and gorgeous plant displays and also indulge in a fabulous day of shopping
